Dr.'s appointment update....
Today was the dreaded glucose test....tomorrow I will find out the results. I will have to say I am not a fan of orange soda; let alone....REALLY sugary orange soda. I hope everything comes back normal because one; I of course want everything to be normal but secondly, I don't want to have to drink that again. I kept burping and it was hard to chug so Sean was my little cheer leader. At one point I looked at Sean and said, "I'm going to pretend this is a tequila shot, because I don't like that either"
That's my update for now!

Tomorrow, tomorrow...
you're only a day away!!! Sing it!
Well, indeed tomorrow brings us to another Dr.'s appointment. These appointments are now getting closer; three weeks apart and tomorrow is the one I am dreading. I am happy that Sean will be closing tomorrow night so he will be getting up early and coming to the Dr.'s with me. You see, tomorrow's appointment is to check the gestational diabetes where I have to drink "not so good" liquid sugar...and get pricked for blood results; hopefully everything will turn out just fine; but I won't lie; I am a bit nervous to hear the results. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Also, Connor has been moving around so much; I love this feeling. And, Sean has now felt him several times moving around. This morning, I was able to go into work later than normal, so while Sean was at his dentist appointment, I played music to Connor. I have some baby mozart on my ipod and play it to him, but I haven't done that in a few weeks; so I thought I should play it. Well, Sean came back and we went for a walk in the towpath- we walked for 2.5 miles in blue skies, it was GREAT! I invisioned that one day very soon, we will be taking that same trail just with a stroller and a cute little boy inside!

Love Love Love....
I LOVE being pregnant!
It's true! I know, I was pretty lucky not to spend the first 12 weeks with the porcelain goddess...so maybe that would have changed my mind. As I have said countless times, the worst of this is that I am tired just about all of the time. However, all of the pros are so much better that I can put up with being tired.
This past weekend, Connor was pretty active and Sean FINALLY got to feel him move around. It was priceless; there...Sean sat; his hand on my belly like always, and bamn; Connor kicked him! Quickly, Sean removed his hand from my stomach as he looked at me with a shocked look on his face...quickly saying "that was weird". I think being able to feel him is so great; I love feeling him move inside me. Later that night, Sean tried feeling Connor move again, but Connor was sleeping.
Connor likes to move early in the morning around 8-10ish, 3-4:30ish, 9:30 or 10...until 12. They say this will then be his "awake" time when he's outside of me. I keep telling Sean, I am not a night person...10pm is my bed time...and anything before 8 is too early...so, those are Sean's hours to play if that is what Connor wants to do...however, I am thinking I will soak up anytime I can once Connor arrives. Getting very excited to meet him, but don't want to rush not being pregnant anymore...

23 weeks and 5 days...
Forearm and fist. With this picture; he was waving his hand around with excitement!
One little foot...that will soon go pitter patter
His face; going to look just like Sean...I know it! See how long it is!?!Well, at 23 weeks and 5 days...we might as well say 24 weeks! Things are looking good. They measured the fundal height and we are measuring out to be 25-26 weeks...which goes along with mid July; that's when I think I will go into labor! Only time will tell. The appointment ensured us that everything is looking normal, including the heart and all 4 chambers! We were told the next appointment will be the gluclose screening; which I am not looking forward to; but if it helps Connor; then I guess I will do it.
According to parentsconnect.com here's a description of what Connor looks like this week..."Your little Wiener schnitzel is about the length of a foot-long Chicago hot dog and weighs about 1 1/3 pounds". Last week they compared him to the same weight and length of a Harry Potter book.

My belly is growing...
Now that I have a ever growing belly- I thought I would share the pictures with you; however, there are two disclaimers....
1. I used to be photogenic. Connor has robbed me of that and pure tiredness is all that my face shows- even if I try to smile...so, pretend I am the Mom from the muppets and you get to guess what my face looks like.
2. It wasn't until I uploaded these pictures did I realize the grossness of the white tank top, and the fact that it is virtually see through. I will be changing my top- or adding a double layer to the next few pictures that we take.
(13 weeks- yes I was showing early...)
(19 weeks; it's a BOY!)
(23 weeks; April 2nd)
I am still enjoying feeling Connor move inside of me. This past Thursday was my birthday and as Sean and I sat at dinner, Connor was moving all about. It was the most I had felt him moving for that length of time- he must have known it was my birthday and had his own little party for me. However, his dancing moves completely distracted me from talking with Sean. I would be in mid sentence and then just stop. Sean completely understood and knew why I stopped and we just laughed over this.
Connor's dancing moves then made me realize that I am now on the downhill slide for the pregnancy....and soon, he will be here! I can't wait to meet this little guy, but I also will be sad not to be pregnant anymore. I actually began to cry at the table. I enjoy being pregnant. I then begged Sean to give me the date of when we can start trying again, because this is such a wonderful feeling. I am doing my best to enjoy each and every moment and not get caught up in complaining with tiredness, heartburn or troubles with shoe tying. This is only temporary and the results will so be worth it.
Any advice from Mom's out there who have felt this way about being pregnant?!?
