Worst Mother of the year award goes to....

ME!

So, a short (as I can make) story! Connor, the young little guy can't talk-right! Okay, so now that we are all on the same page, the only way he can communicate is by crying aka screaming his little head off! So, for the past three weeks, Connor has transformed into a baby who cries. Fresh diaper, full belly, screams still! What could be the matter? Well, yesterday I had enough of my own diagnosing....teething? ear ache? It was time to call the Dr!

I went to the Dr's and I had this OLD man, who really should be retired. He was great with Connor; and prescribed that I should go and get mylanta....yes the same stuff adults take! Apparently, Connor has acid reflex and a bit of a cold. So, I go to Walgreen's, make sure they don't have an infant brand...then buy the Walgreen's brand of mylanta. I set for home, give Connor the recommended amount and off to go workout I went! Within five minutes; I had a new baby! I was so amazed at how this worked! The childwatch ladies (who've yet to meet Connor) were raving on how good he was (and the past two times, the other ladies happily gave him over to me saying he was fussy!). I was so happy that this was working. I came home, put him to bed and low and behold, he wasn't up EVERY hour! Normally, Connor wakes up every hour and I give him the pacifier....he then falls back asleep. I attributed this to him learning how to fall asleep through the night....but no- it was actually because laying down made the acid reflex that much worse! Last night- I woke up at 6:00 on my own and went over to check on him! This was his first consistent night of sleep!

So, long story short, I couldn't help not knowing what was wrong with him, but, next time maybe I should act like a first time parent and call the Dr. right away to make him better quicker!
